I walked it all

I took a walk

I took a walk

through the near past

The people and places

The ties and the braces

The cord and the wire

That kept us from sundering

The ties that bind,

Hobbles that stopped us wandering

The shrieks and the screams

The clawing and the pummeling

That turns homes into houses

Sons into strangers

I walked it all

The hallowed halls of memory

And still I couldnt find me.
