A Song of Rain

Do you know this music?
The song of rain
The tempo and the refrain.
On metal barns it drums
A sound of calling sleep
Music resonant and deep
And then it beats on window pain
Sound of shattering micro grains
Washed away by still more falling rain

Then on slate roof it beats
hallow sound of a guitar against an open hand
Staccato beat of native drumming band.
And then the sound of running gutters
The swoosh and flow of strings
The song as waters flow  in shallow pipes
And the burble as it washes through the shores
The charge of trumpets flowing through a drain
And the song again, of fast flowing rain.
