What wolves know
To be with you in the high forest of my soul
to be joined then complete and whole,
To overcome you tooth to tooth and jaw to jaw,
to love you and only you to our ferocious end,
To be your lover, partner, friend,
and so live forever bonded, wild and free
to live fast and die slow,
in the comfort of what wolves know,
to be wild but still by you confined,
to be ferocious in the nature of our kind,
to remain always free
and ever blind
guided only by the fusing of our minds,
to feel the pulsing
of wolves hearts combined,
to live high and die low,
in the comfort of what wolves know.
To know every inch of your terrain,
your high valleys and your flood plain,
to know your sunshine
and your impending rain.
To hunt the wilderness
of your mind,
to live strong and die brave ,
To stay in life and in death to go.
Together, in the comfort of what wolves know.
