Singer sang too little.(Tribute to Johnny Cash)

Don’t tell me ‘bout your heartache woman

I have enough myself

Don’t talk about your pain and fear

I stack mine on the shelf

Don’t sing to me about the past

or eulogise your death

Nor tell me about your falling tears

You ain’t seen living yet.

Don’t think you’se only one got trouble

I’ve got some to settle

Damn poets gone and seen too much

But you singers see too little.

So strum on singer lady strum

Go take your troubles home

Don’t come messing with my head

I’ll cut you to the bone

I don’t need no music paining me

words slice me like a knife

Wouldn’t fall for caterwauling tears

Come try to live my life.

I’ve listened to your records girl

But their just scrapin’ metal

Damn poet gone and said too much

And the singer sang to little
