The Oracle

The Oracle told me I was but a boy
That I was still growing and forming
But I denied that. Told her I was already man
She smiled and told me to wait. “Do not reach beyond your abilty to grasp” she said.
So I waited until I grew.
‘Till there was something to see
And then I faced the Oracle again
I shouted out my frustration .
And knew I had not grown at all.
